Health Education & Promotion

The Bridgewater Department of Health provides Health Education and Promotion for the Bridgewater community. We address important public health topics such as nutrition, physical activity, mental health, substance abuse, and sexual health. Our team includes a health educator who is a nationally Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).

Health Education and Promotion Services include:

  • Developing educational materials such as flyers, posters, bookmarks, and social media posts
  • Presenting workshops on specific health issues to community groups
  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating interventions to improve community health
  • Providing technical assistance to schools, employers, and other organizations to implement wellness programs and policies
  • Advocating for local policies to improve health and health equity
